My Favorite Chess Set

The only thing I know about this set is I bought it in the early 80's at a flea market. The woman I bought the set from said as far as she knew the board was original and that it was her fathers when she was a kid. The set would be at least 70 years old. The pieces are heavy and casted. The King is about 4 7/8" tall. The entire set weighs about 20lbs. Trying to find information about where and when it might have come from. I am also looking for advice about cleaning the set.
