    PICKED THIS UP AT AUCTION TODAY . LIGHT WEIGHT PLATED BOWL WITH A LITTLE SQUIRREL. HAVING A SNACK NO MARKINGS NOTHING FANCY JUST CAUGHT MY EYE. IT IS 6 INCHES TALL BY 7 INCHES ACROSS THE TOP. ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS ? THANKS

      I would think it was a dish to hold nuts, since it has a squirrel on it. Is there anywhere you might stick the nutcracker or a nut pick?

      It looks like silver plate with all of the plating worn off.

      This was a very special item. I am MAD about it. I keep watching these type items on ebay - old silverplate squirrels perched on a bowl, log or twig. The old ones are superb. I would have it replated - if I were you - and cherish it. I'll never buy one, but it is one of my most longed-for items. Might not make a lot of sense, but.... So glad that you found this! DEFINITELY NOT JUNK! miKKo
