** Temple News Agency is a 95-year old confectionery store located in the Masonic Temple Building on Jefferson Avenue in LaPorte, Indiana - They are a combination of old-fashioned ice cream parlor and hip coffee house with a side of kitsch thrown in. - They have ice cream, candy, a coffee house, a cafe, new and used books & music, and carry newspapers from around the world. If you're from the area, or there visiting someone who is, you'll be amused by the collection of old local high school yearbooks where you can check out how we all looked back in the day. It is also a musicians' hangout and a favorite place for local musicians to jam, often on an impromptu basis. - States "Temple News Agency - Masonic Temple Building" on the obverse and "Good for $1.00 in Trade" on the reverse.
