Aluminium dates to to more of a recent production & not the "old west".

Thanks, but I figured military, someone told me it might be wells fargo, when a magnet is put on handle in some places it will stick so I'm kind of confused, any idea what time period

The magnet is being attracted to the blade tang in the areas where it is closer to the surface. Have to admit, this knife has my curiosity up. The screw heads & threaded hole in the end of the grip are strange.
