We have had this item for several years and always thought it was a classic magic lantern. Until recently that I started to think it was maybe a lamp house, part of an old movie projector system. The lamp suffered some interventions before because someone in the past retired its focus lens and changed the small side door windows replacing them (and the lens) with cheap green glass. The lantern is big, about W 50 x H 60 cm. There is nothing inside the lamp house, no oil or kerosene burner, neither handles or levers. The strange half pipe smokestack have always bothered me because it looks odd compared to other magic lantern designs and I haven't seen any like this before. Can someone please tell us what kind of magic lantern do we have here? What's the device commercial name and model? Manufacturer and manufacturing date? Thanks.
