This book is made of wood. The front and back is held together with two small pieces of metal. Made in Italy is impressed in the side of the border. This is one of my thrift store finds. I love the way it's decorated. It could be displayed opened or closed.
I have the same Marriage Blessing side only, also in a wood frame, but the border design of the blessing is different but similar. Also impressed Made in Italy on the lower left front corner like yours. It has a red floral print backing paper with a label at the bottom (G.B. - Florence / Made in Italy) -- Circa is late 1950's
