It kinda reminds me of the original PULSAR watch, mid 1970, USA. Very similar, anyway.

I just Googled Pulsar and it isn't what you have, but interesting just the same. It isn't the Pulsar you can but now that I was thinking of. http://www.oldpulsars.com

      Hi.

I have one pretty much the same, but with 2 buttons (2o'clock 8o'clock). I have several LED watches, inlcuding Pulsars, GP, Omega, Wittnauer etc. It is none of these. The one I have is in almost new condition (save for corrosion on the back)and in, what I believe to be the original box. The box is branded "Goldex". The clasp has an embossed "G". It is a good looking watch - some one must have been the first and others copied.

I have always been of the opinion that my watch is one of the ones from towards the end of the (all too short!) lifetime of the LED watch. 1974 may have been the start of the end, and the move from specialist and exclusive to more mass market? There were thousands of modules soon being made cheaply in Hong Kong and Singapore and branded by allsorts of companies the World over. In fact, many of them had no brand at all (as mine and yours), other than on the box.

All that said - I have boxes of long dead "branded" LEDs (many of which contain the modules made by companies other than the brands, like Omega LEDs).....but my version similar to yours works well and LEDs burn brightly! I do not have a maker on the module - from memory, it looks to me of the same style of two that I know. National Semiconductor or Frontier. Both of these made modules for watches not marketed under their own name (eg Frontier for Omega after they fell out with Hamilton-Pulsar; and NS modules are found in the classic LIP Tallon Mach 2000 amongst others). The Hughes Aircraft company made modules for lots of brands including CompuChron etc.

I am not an expert, do not have museum pieces..... merely a lover of these watches on my wrist.

      Hope this helps. J
