schrade LB7 bear paw purchase in ellenville ny 1985

this knife was Purchased in 1985 in Ellenville , New York by my father, recently given to my husband as a gift. has never been used. We were wondering if anybody knew what the Knife would be worth. we wanted to know if it was something that he should use or something that he should keep as a collectible
