    This tool was found at an antique store in Indiana. It is similar to a pliers but has a pear shaped mold as the pincers. It is made out of aluminum and is approximately 9" long. There is a small hole on the narrow end of the mold. I believe it is a kitchen tool but am not sure. I have found two other identical tools in antique stores in Wisconsin. What is it used for?

      Seems too big to be a garlic press...Love the egg beaters and the sifter too!

      agree with your assessment SpotOfBlue that this is a meat press similar to standard meat-baller. This shape is generally called a mock chicken leg and the hole in the end is to insert a popsicle-stick or dowel into the "leg" for holding the shaped product for cooking and eating. neat find : )
