    Found this Franklin Mint Dragon at a garage sale for $3. A pretty cool find. Its from a collection by artist Michael Whelan. This piece is called "Guardian of the Crystal". Hand-painted and meticulously sculptured and embellished with accents of 24 karat gold. Dragon holds a faceted crystal teardrop with an Aurora Borealis patina. The base is cast in full-lead crystal. Issued in an edition forever limited to just 95 casting days. I think I got pretty lucky with this one.
