This pair of spaniels are hand painted in black and white with a gold leash chain on each dog in the design and a lock around their necks . The pair is in good antique condition, although there is some crazing of the porcelain. It almost looks intention like it is part of the design. There is also some pain wear which is expected with dogs of this age, but over all they are a great pair of mantel dogs! They measure approx. 8 1/2 " tall & 5 1/2 ".
I am trying to determine if these are reproductions or originals. There are no marking on the bottom that I can see.
The bottom often can be the most telling part of the piece. My vote is that these are reproductions.
