Recent estate sale purchase from the home of a late WW2 veteran. This piece which I believe to made of brass or bronze due to it weight is marked the USS SPERRY. I'm trying to find out if this may have actually been aboard the ship and was hoping someone may know how to make proper ID. Measures 7x7 inches and is heavy very heavy. I wanted to share and see what people thought. Also found this large maybe jacket patch which I believe represents this ship I think it's WW2.
