I have had this bear since I was born in 1986, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what brand he is. I am hoping to get another for my son when he arrives.

Wow! It could be a number of brands. Does it have any type of tag on it?
If it had a tag at one time, it's long since disappeared. I once found a similar but smaller bear, the tag on it said it was from one of the bigger baby brands. I think it was either Gerber or Graco or something along those lines.
