Found this item with all glass panels intact and errily shiny. It is unstained which I was fascinated by. It is clearly old. As soon as I opened it up pennies fell out of a jar. The jar fell but did not break I will not part with it. No damage was done to the cabinet or anything else.
I know absolutely nothing of art-deco save its' description in any Fashion magazine. I know when I have something which gives me the creeps and keeps me up nights.
We can't see any of the joinery or hardware. We can see signs of wear where there is never wear from normal use. You should also keep in mind that the glass of the door acts as a mirror so your image shows in the glass in picture 4. Good thing you had pants on, beer belly shouldn't offend anyone.
Looks like a modern piece that was sanded to make it look older. As fhr stated the "wear" is not in places expected from use.
A photo of the back and drawer sides/ bottom will surely confirm.

Looks modern to me and made to look old . And I surely do not believe furniture can be haunted . I have dropped a heavy glass jar and did not break .
