I received this chair from my father and stepmother and was told that it was brought from Canada by my great grandfather which happened in the 1880's. I am not sure how to tell how old it is. My great grandfather did come from England and settled in what later became Kisbey, Sask., Canada as his brother later became the mail deliverer and the town was named after him.
The ball under the armrests unscrew which will change the rocker into a lounger of sorts.
