I bought this lamp at an auction sale because I thought it was beautiful but am now curious and would like to find out more about what kind it is and where it came from, etc. It is 47 Inches high and heavy. It looks like cast iron at first but then if you look closely at it, it has some "green" on it and it is a soft metal. The only writing or stamp we find on the bottom that is readable is "L".

I have this lamp with slagg glass shade it was bought on east coast 25. 30 years ago some one else on hear has one without cherobs it had tags from around 1963 ssuggesting copies were made his was from new york some one else knew of copies from that time and area i do not know oi mine was new.
I have the same lamp,but pretty sure its not a copy, it came from my husbands father. Mine has "green starting to appear on it too. I'm thinking copper.
Mine also has round flower type adonrnments,and a round base.
