it was in some items at an estate sale, have know idea what it is . I have no history it has snakes at both ends and the middle as shown in the photos and a face with what seem to be snakes as well

Have no idea what, if anything, this was used for. But it's Indonesian, based on the wood and the design patterns, which feature a stylized South Pacific fish hook.
