lamps are approximately 16" tall (without hardware) and seem to be made out of some type of white plaster. On the back bottom of one there is a marking :ART SFC on the back of the other one it is marked:
R.T. CO 1943. Received from a friend's mother. She purchased at an antique shop years ago.

Very nice Chalkware lamps. These style lamps were common in homes in the 1950's
