The watch came through a family friend who spent time in Japan. I was told this was done by A Japanese POW. Any info would be much apreciated.

not much into pocket watches but the gold inlay looks really cool
I don't think its gold, :- ( , probably brass. The bird is a silver colour. There is a matching paper knife.
