Asian Flower Scene with Red Chop Mark, Signed and Dated. Any Guesses?

I picked up this lovely original Asian watercolor painting. The design and colors are robust. It has unique chop mark and what appears to be a western script style signature and date (Dec 88?). I have not been able to match the signature anywhere. Your help identifying, feedback or info welcome. Thx!
