Black Peppercorns unopened in old sealed 1 lb can

I bought this unopened sealed can of Black Peppercorns in the mid late 1970's in Cape Town, South Africa. I haven't been able to find whether Drysdale Dennison & Co still operate but have a hunch that it was an English firm.
