My Grandma's Rocking Chair

This was my Grandmother's rocking chair. I have no idea of the age or style of it because I can't find anything similar, even online. I'm guessing the wood is maple and the back is a solid piece of oval wood with simple carving on the top and bottom. The seat is supported by large springs and the seat cover needlepoint, though I suspect the needlepoint is not original to the chair.

Any clues someone could throw my way would be greatly appreciated.
