Mobil Oil Vintage Tin Lid to Something

This is a tin lid to some sort of Mobil product. It is 11" x 11" with a key to roll up the lid like a really big sardine can.
Someone carefully removed it for preservation apparently and then apparently ruined it by leaving it outside. Lots of fading from sunlight and rust. The rust isn't so bad but I think the damage done by the sunlight was more serious. Only porcelain signs should be exposed to direct sunlight.
There are four of the famed Pegasus on the lid. They can be seen if one looks at the enlarged version along with "Mobil" x 2.
It is on display in my mini man cave around the circular staircase.
