This old Burroughs Adding Machine was found in the basement of an older home when it was sold in Des Moines. It has glass on three sides so you can see the inner workings. It is a stand alone floor model with a fold down shelf. It is heavy, heavy, heavy. Fortunately it is on wheels and probably could have been easily moved in the day. Would like to know what it is worth or where I can find a date on it? I'm thinking it's from around 1900 - 1920. Would it reduce the value if I cleaned it up a bit? I think it's a great find! BOOOHAAA!

Some good info on Google and have seen some such as yours listed on eBay.
The serial number should be on brass a plate, with that the site on Google will give you the manafactor date.Great pick, have fun researching it out.
