This particular chair has been in our basement for at least 30 years. We think it's from the 1960s, 1970s or perhaps earlier. It's a nice chair made of solid wood, though I don't know what kind of wood. Beautiful brown finish. Good condition. A few marks and scratches. Some extra leg holes on bottom of seat.
I could not locate a brand name, logo, serial number or any other identifying marks carved on it.

L of rockers: 29"
W arm to arm: 20"

This rocker is a Nichols and Stone product. It should say it on the bottom of the seat. I have one and some of the lettering has worn off but it also says Garden, Mass. on the bottom of chair which is where it was made. Mine also has the extra leg holes in it but it looks like the leg holes has broken wood in them as if the legs had broken off. From what I gather they were made around 1950 and I have seen them priced between $399 to over $1,000. The design is exactly like the original design from what I can see in the pictures so the old leg wholes are a mystery. Also mine looks as though it was re-stained a cherry color. If you find any reason for the leg wholes please let me know. Ty =)
Actually I just looked at more of them and if you google Nichols and Stone Windsor rockers you can find out more about these rockers. Hope this helps you.
Is your chair marked under the seat? If Nichols/ Stone it should be impressed on the seat bottom.
A lot of companies made these (including Nich/Stone) and they were made in large numbers.
I wouldn't use prices as a gauge for value-- I'd use actual SALES.
The finish has some damage on the seat. I'd expect an excellent condition example to sell for less than $200.
