I have had these very pretty earrings for a few years and found them at a charity store.
They are sterling silver with steel posts & well constructed.Every petal is separate and hand cut.
I think they were made in the 70s?

These were made in Taxco, Mexico. The bottom mark is hard to read.

      I can read you know:))

Bettyboo - there is jewelry made in Mexico (marked only "Mexico") and there is jewelry made in a specific town in Mexico - Taxco. Identification of the silversmith/date of the jewelry is possible when the entire stamp is legible.

      THAT is my point.

But thank-you Efesgirl you were trying to help:))

Yes I am also aware of that as I also have jewellery stamped Taxco.

Yes, I was trying to help. I didn't know you had other Taxco jewelry because that information was not posted with these earrings. It is a good idea to post everything you already know about an object so this sort of thing doesn't happen.

      :-)

Yes, it's best to put everything in your original post, which I've learned the hard way too! Also, I don't know why this bugs me, so it's only my opinion - but the dimensions should be included, which believe it or not can help date/ID items too. Gorgeous by the way!
