Horse statue

So I bought this horse statue today at Goodwill. I really liked the horse's pose, it is really unique. I have looked online to find a similar pose and could not. Some things that have me curious are the finish that was put on this horse. It almost looks like an afterthought like to make it look old. The coloring underneath is similar to many other Tang horse reproductions I have seen but again I could not find something similar to this guy.
