    This clock has been passed down to me all I know is it was my grandparents n sat on their mantel since before I was born n I'm 37 above the 6 it says Seth Thomas but that's all I can find other saying it was made n USA I would love to learn more bout it

      What you have here is on of the Seth Thomas "College Series" clocks, so-called because the models were named for colleges such as Cornell, Harvard, Yale, etc.
      From the silhouette, yours appears to be the "Yale" model. These were made from the late 1890's to before WWI. Earlier models will have what as known as the 'shoulder" or "hip" movement, (picture: http://wkinsler.com/clocks/seth_thomas_hip_movement_2.jpg ), and later one will use the 89 movement (picture: http://wkinsler.com/clocks/seth_thomas_model_89_movement.jpg ).
      The college series clocks are what most people referred to today as kitchen clocks or gingerbread clocks. The decorations in the wood were made by machine, and are not hand carvings.
