      Well, the bikini was invented in 1946, named after Bikini Atoll which was in the news for nuclear bomb tests detonated there starting that year. The bear cannot be older than that if that is its original outfit.

      I would say the bikini was too daring in 1946 for toy makers and parents to consider it okay for a child's teddy bear. I would guess the 1960s or 70s.

      I just noticed how small it is. I don't remember tiny stuffed animals being around until the fads of the 1980s/ 90s.
