I do not think this dog is cast iron because it is not heavy....
I also, do not think this dog is plaster becase usually their is white dots on the bottom which their is not as you can tell from pictures above...

Spelter metal?
Maybe, i have no clue....
Spelter is light weight metal, hollow inside. If it were cast it would be heavy.
