    I have a post card with a post office stamping from san francisco nov 10 1914 at 5:30pm
    Its a picture of 2 guys on what looks like a stage of a car(for funny purpose because its clearly a room with a couch and a steeringwheel)
    And the writeing to who it was sent is still readable.

      Kodak in the early 1900s came out with a camera that put a photo directly onto a postcard.
      It may be one of those, meaning it could be one of a kind.

      Sometimes the writing gives clues.

      It may be a real car, as a driving lamp and part of a wheel are visible, or it may be 'staged' as you noted. Studios often had a back-drop, as seen behind the people, to go with their props.
