Found in Grandma's attic. Looks like some kind of clamp, but I am not sure what purpose it served. It is very heavy.

Looks pretty generic. The nearest thing to this I recall having seen was used on a chimney-mounted TV antenna that had a rotor. It was part of the system that held the rotor onto the mast.

This stuff is real popular on the antique/re-purpose market.

I am thinking it might have been used to secure a 'pitcher pump to a kitchen sink, it held the pipe under the counter and there were 2x4's that it sat on. And I've seen something like that used to hold the pipe when the lead pipe was pulled out of a well that was pulled by a windmill it kept the pipe from falling back down into the well hole.
