I found this jar full of corks in an old shed. The lid says "National Coffee" and shows some type of tool to open it on the lid. It has a texture or knurling on three sides and is smooth on the fourth. I found it in Michigan so I don't know if it was some local store brand or not. I can't find a thing on National Coffee brands.

National was the grocery store chain. The tool is a simple table knife. Was a fairly common type lid on many product jars of the period 1940-60s. Not that easy to find in good shape now.
