Need some help by identifying tis object. I bought thit modenistisch, brutalist handgrip/warm plate holder. Me is told that this object is used for it. But many restaurateurs, also famous ones, don't recognize this object. So I search for alreaydy four months for a simular pair, but cannot find it on internet.
The question: is this really a warm plate holder; has somebody a photo of a simular pair; where does it come from and who can be the designer
It will really help me further.

"In terms of thermal conductivity, the three materials from highest to lowest that are good heat conductors are silver, copper and gold."

Silver - not such a good thing to make hot plate holders from.

That's true Gilian, but if not what will it be? Just a plate holder?
      Thanks for your comment.

?? Maybe these were ON a piece already and the item got broke, so whoever maybe just kept the handles - in their junk drawer ???? till they were throw away
