    From estate sale. It has some small holes (moths?) and is about 7 ft by 3.5 ft. Very elaborate fringe compared to others I've looked at on the site. Any thoughts of age and origin? Thanks!

      this is called a Saltillo serape. nice one with large eye of god.

      Thank you, that was an extremely fast response. The fabric feels 'old' if that makes sense - can you guesstimate the age. Love learning that the center design has a specific name, would you say that is meant as a hoped for protection for the wearer/homeowner? You say serape? But no slit to put on?
