#48 ~ 1960s Psychedelic OOAK Hippie Folk Art Crocheted Dress was shown previously and nothing else to add.

#47 ~ OOAK Vintage 1960s Hippie Carved Peace Chessboard is a very unusual piece. A large two feet wide and hand carved and painted chessboard on a thick piece of plywood while signed on the back "Made by David Brown Sr.". The carved and painted "peace" blocks at each end of the game board is what attracted me to it. I wonder if this was for personal use with a political statement or for perhaps created for a community / park. Maybe even for gatherings of Vietnam Veterans at a VFW or such - I am sad to say the actual history is lost to the ages and all that remains are my possible explanations. Nice period artifact even without the details.

Thanks - that is quite the period example - usually see granny "squares" this is way beyond that.
