Searched for over a year and no luck - What? Who? When?

I found these in a dusty box in an old barn in Kansas in the early 80s. The box had been there for who knows how long, but a long time. I have tried to identify the maker or style or name or from when they were made. I assume they were made in the states. They are not german wine glasses as many have thought. Too narrow for that. I have never seen any in antique, thrift, garage, estate sales, etc. And the web has not been much help. Someone thought they were called "pop" glasses but they were not sure and not any info on pop glasses is available. Any thoughts? Any possibilities are appreciated. There were only two in the box. Thanks.
