What makes this an upper echelon example of the iconic Hippie Denim Jeans, is the patches actually wrap right around from front to back. That is uncommon, most I find tend to have been worked on front and back and maybe a patch or possibly two on the sides. Such items as you will see tend to be my among my favorite hippie era items - it was a true art form of the era.
