1968 s Jefferson Nickle cud error I think??

Well I found another coin that I think has a error.. cud error.. where the cud part is the opposite side is lighter or faded away.. and the part that gets me is that it's also missing a little piece on the rim where the cud is?? Idk much about coins but is it a error or just normal damage??
