Antique Doll Composition? and Leather.

Hello, just wondering if anyone can help me identify these early old dolls. I've tried searching all over the internet and can't see to find any others like this. Body is leather and face is either composition or carved wood but can't tell. I'm assuming they're antique from Germany but not sure. Thank you for your help. Much appreciated anything.
