I recently came into possession of this great knife. I want to polish it up a bit, but not sure if I should.
It has been exposed to the weather and the aluminum pommel and finger guard has some oxidation on them. There's also some corrosion between the blade and guard. I believe that's due to the dissimilar metal contact there.
So, if I take a scotch brite pad to the pommel and guard, am I going to hurt the knife?
