Picked this up at a bycicle shop when they repaired my bike. Seen it up hanging on a pedal of a vintage bike, and said Hey, That hat for sale? I told the owner $20. He said sure. I think this was possibly a childs play toy, Its missing the liner, and Its missing the back for the eagle, its held on by a sqaure nut. Not the original nut I'm sure. The hat has been worped by hanging. Working on reshaping it.
This hat is very interesting to me -I have never seen an eagle badge that small on an officer hat. My guess is that is an enlisted hat from the Korean war era that has had the badge replaced.
You can get a hat jack for about $20 that will help repair the shape.
