Mystery Pliers Recently Found

I recently purchased some tools and found these in the box. I've never come across anything like them. I believe that they are either cast or drop forged. The only markings on them are shown in the picture. (PAT.AUG2425.) I'm not sure if that is a real patent date or if these are just some imported knockoff to look old. I would appreciate any information on these. Thanks in advance.
