We are wondering what thIs is. The boxes are sealed and we don't want to open it again n case it's valuable. Possibly from early 70s.

When it comes to old liquor bottles, there's absolutely no reason to keep the box sealed, since the box itself is worthless, and only the bottle inside will have any value. But first you will need to see the bottle to determine what it is and what condition it's in, and then whether it has any value. So I would say definitely open the box and post a photo or two of the bottle inside. Even if the bottle is rare and valuable opening the box will not hurt the value one cent.
