This is a very beautiful square amber bottle. I thought it was a pre prohibition era Christian Brothers brandy bottle because it has Brothers written on what's left of the label around the neck but I couldn't make out the first word. It also has nothing saying Refilling or Reuse is Forbidden Under Federal Law, hence pre prohibition. It measures 7.5" x 3.75". On the bottom is a small embossed 16 a small heart and an F. In the middle it has REG with a small 0 underlined No with the o underlined again. Under that is 547348 and a 5 underneath everything. It has side seams that do not go over the top and they are crudely formed. It has a post mold. The whole bottle has manufacturing defects in it such as, bubbles and tool mark scratches that are like slender bubbles that broke. I tried to find it under Christian Brothers Brandy, pre and post prohibition, but could not find it. Looked elsewhere but cannot seem to find a bottle like this. Will someone help me identify and date? Thank you and have a great weekend!
Noce color and a very great find for you. Is it a "dug" bottle?
ooops. NICE color , excuse typo above.
thank you and yes, it was dug up on one of our last digs before hunting season begins. Do you know anything about this bottle?
