This, and those funky curved 'brake pliers' posted a little while ago, are why I didn't hesitate to bid all of $5 or so for that particular little cardboard 'flat' of old tools at the auction. ;-) :-)

Nice (Sears) CRAFTSMAN hand-crank drill. Built to last of sturdy cast metal components with wooden handles. The CRAFTSMAN name is stamped into its crank-handle in their distinctive font, as well as "MADE IN U.S.A. 1071". It's about 12-1/2" long, overall. I haven't researched it thus don't have any actual clue how old it really is, guessing 1950's because it looks like it should easily be that old, anyways...?

I use my hand drills when I only need a hole or two. It's easier than hooking up the cord etc. It's a Craftsman 1071, I am thinking 1930s.
