This is a beautiful, complete Italian marble shaving stand/holder with brush, bowl, and razor; hallmarked J·H·L and “Made in Italy.”
The brush is a weighty 5.8 oz, and the razor, that takes the Trac II razor head, is beautifully inlayed with marble. The Italian red marble is really quite striking.
From my research, it appears this set first became available in the late 1970’s to early 1980’s, and retailed around a cool $225. The J·H·L are the initials of Estee Lauder’s late-husband, Joseph Harold Lauder (1902-1983).
