Think these pieces may have been purchased late 1940's or early 1950's.
    Any information is greatly appreciated.

Early 20th century and maybe up to the 1920's and many characteristics of Empire Furniture. The coffee table is likely 1950's and a quite nice Chippendale design, but yet it works well with the seating.

Thanks so much for your comment PhilDMorris. My mother believed the coffee table was part of the suite, so it's interesting to hear they are separate. She'd used the term "Chippendale" to describe the entire suite. cheers Dora
