ANTIQUE oil painting by J. FREDRIK

I bought this old, old, oil painting at an auction about 25 years ago. The picture. on the back of the canvas (1st pic), is a study of the one on the front- 2nd & 3rd pic. It is signed J. Frederik. My reasearch finds a J. Frederik in the early 1800- Dutch/German, etc... and after more and more research, I hope to nail it down. The frame is early 1900 and gold painted. The painting is in good shape but has many coats of varnish on it.
It is huge- hard to move around and rehang.
