Box, about a foot tall, bone or ivory carved, heavy, wood with skin, or cloth, sturdy

I got a box I guess would be for jewlry. It's got carved bone, or maybe ivory. 2 guys fighting on the top with the carved word mefaam, or meeaam. It may be an illustration of one guy yelling. Don't know what country it's from. It's a sturdy box and heavy, about a foot tall, felt-like lining. Did not see any other writing or label on it. The bone or ivory is in a round circle made from blocks and carving. On each drawer there are the bone or ivory carvings. That's all I know. Any help would be great.
